HKLGFF comes out to your neighborhood during its 30th anniversary. During this film festival season, HKLGFF will screen a collection of shorts at the “Form Society,” a street-front art and cultural space in Shamshuipo. LGBT+ speakers will also attend for conversations after each screening.

HKLGFF Campus Tour

Since 2015, the Red Ribbon Centre, Hong Kong Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, university departments and student groups are jointly presenting an array of short films about LGBT life and culture at the campuses during the film festival period.

Themes encompass coming out and family dynamics, discrimination and oppression against sexual minorities, and love story of those infected with HIV etc. A sharing session with guest speaker follows.

HKLGFF is throwing a BIG party at W Hotel to celebrate our 30th anniversary. DJ Melody Lane will be on the decks with film festival resident DJ Janette Slack spinning dance music all night. The Sexiest drag queen XXXotica and Super drag group Drag Jam will perform for everyone. Vogueing group KiKi house of Marciano will burn the house down.

HKLGFF will end the 30th anniversary at the glamorous venue Ophelia. We have invited drag superstar Thailand Madonna, Sira back to Hong Kong again. She performed at our closing party two years ago. She is coming with larger then life Thailand Drag Race drag queen, Miss Kimhuay. It will be her first time to perform in Hong Kong. Ophelia’s performers will also put up a show for us. Only limited party tickets will be on sale at the door. To avoid disappointment, buy your closing film tickets to enjoy complimentary entry including 1 drink with closing film ticket stub.
