Synopsis
Sibling love pulses through this electric thriller from French filmmaking duo Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel. With no one to rely on but each other, neglected siblings Apolline and Pablo bond through playing the online video game Darknoon – a real playable game created by the filmmakers for the film. However, when it is announced that the game will soon expire, Pablo pursues a life of crime with a new lover, Night, while Apolline doubles down on developing her avatar. As the countdown to Dark noon’s doomsday looms, the siblings’ bleak trajectories crack into their fluorescent relationship built in the virtual world. Thrumming with energy, Eat The Night is a pulpy examination of our increasingly merging online and offline worlds.
