The queer pleasures are endless in this entertaining Philadelphia-based thriller by Robert Gaston (Open Cam). Abigail, the hottest femme-dyke private eye in Pennsylvania, teams up with macho gay guy Michael to investigate the vanishing of Michael’s twin brother Kyle, a photographer specializing in erotic portraits.

When Michael poses as Kyle, his brother’s reputation as an abusive creep soon becomes apparent, bringing forth a large group of enemies, any of whom might be responsible for his disappearance. Amid the suspense, the one-liners, and abundance of full-frontal male nudity is a unique, refreshing relationship between a gay man and a lesbian (foxy Jessica Graham as Abigail is the true find of the film). Clever, pulpy and fun, 2 Minutes Later successfully keeps audiences riveted, laughing, and definitely turned on.

When the aimless Trevor meets Ephram, a gorgeous and emotionally together doctor, he finally breaks it off with Darrell. Everything starts to look brighter but when Jake decides he needs an HIV test and drags Trevor and Andie with him the story takes a turn that will affect all their lives. To further complicate matters, Ephram decides to move to New York and wants Trevor to go with him.
Holding Trevor is a touching and affecting comedy, impressively written/acted/produced by Gorski, with a scene-stealing performance by Jay Brannan.

Twins Mark and Alex spent their early inseparable childhood in a middle American city with their all American parents. By the time they were 14, they had come out of the closet, became addicted to drugs and attempted suicide. Red Without Blue takes us on a 3 year journey through the lives of the Farley family and their struggle to accept each other.
Both boys move to different cities. Alex reassigns his gender, becomes Clair and has to figure out if she wants to proceed with bottom surgery. Mark finds it difficult to find potential boyfriends instead of hook-ups. A visit to their hometown will bring many unresolved, festering tensions to the fore to be confronted.
Questions of gender, sexuality and acceptance are all raised in Red Without Blue, but the power of this unforgettable film rests in the filmmakers’ ability to capture the intimacy between these twins, and their extremely moving road to rekindle that twinship bond.

Preceded by Swimsuit (Dir: Lucretia Krapp, 2006, USA, 14 min), a documentary about a young person’s conflict over the desire to transition.

A beautifully shot arthouse drama inspired by true events, Solos explores the relationships among three individuals, whose failure to connect with each other and express their feelings lead to eventual tragic consequences.
Boy (Loo Zihan) has been having a relationship with Man (Lim Yu Beng) for years. However, as Boy grows into adulthood, he drifts away from Man and wants to call it off. Man however, is hoping to settle down with his young lover. Meanwhile, Mother feels that her son has abandoned her for his lover. As the three characters fight their own demons, they create an illusion of what is haunted by the nightmares they built, their own selfishness will destroy what is most important to them.
Highly erotic, surreal and minimal, Solos is a strikingly original and controversial piece of work. Loo Zihan, the star and co-director of the film, is a true revelation.

Singapore, to the casual observer, seems to be one of the queerest cities in Asia, with its buzzing scene and wild parties. However, it is no secret that the LBGT community in Singapore is still repressed by its government, with laws such as Section 377A, which makes consensual sex between two men illegal, making headlines in recent months.
Filmmaker Lim Mayling recognizes that amid these larger struggles, there are more important stories to be told: the personal ones. Women who Love Women is a rare feature made about lesbians in Singapore, where three women give brutally honest and intimate accounts of their lives as lesbians in Singapore. Already out and proud, they recount their coming out days, their relationships and public perception. As we watch these women reveal their lives, their secrets and their past experiences to us, it will be impossible to suppress a knowing smile.
